ROLE, RELATIONS WITH THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND OTHER PROGRAMMES
CREC a technical unit within the Ministry of Health Public Health Research Institute. It has responsibility for assisting the National Malaria Control Programme in the design and implementation of programmes and for evaluation of entomological impact.
Research Programme
Research activities at CREC are conducted in collaboration with local and international institutions. Current projects are mainly on malaria, with particular focus entomological and epidemiological research. CREC is accountable to an Independent Review Board within the MoH which reviews the ethics of all research projects.
